they may be thin but the texture and material of these make them sturdier than thicker picks ive tried. my go to. excellent quick shipping too.

I picked up my first orange tortex pick in 1989, when I was looking for something that didnt score and ware along the edges in the same way that the hard plastic picks do after figuring out that I was breaking strings when they got caught on the rough edges of my picks. I also found that these gave me a much better, more responsive pick for combinations of strumming and picking than the harder variety did both for acoustic and electric parts. Ive used nothing else for the last 27 years. So I guess I like them… The price of this item was very costeffective, the product was good and well packaged, and shipped very quickly so Im very happy.

These are my favorite pics they work well with my electric and my acoustics. They actually come the closest to an actual tortoise shell pick. I am old enough to have owned one of these before they became illegal.

So . . . my son found these Jazz III picks. They are very small, thick and have some texture on them, due to the embossed writing on them. I really like the size, but he plays bass and I play acoustic. I researched these picks and thought they were very similar. Unfortunately, .50mm in a regular sized pick is not the same in this smaller sized pick. The pick is too thickstiff, it doesnt compare to the bendability of a regular sized .50mm pick. Also, it does not have embossed writing on them, so they can slip out of your hand easier. Mostly, I would say, try them before you buy them.
