Description
Relax Concentrated Filter & Cartridge Cleaner – Essential in maintaining a clean & healthy filtration system for either pools or spas.
Directions For Use:
Sand FiltersBackwash the Filter, drain & isolate filter, replace drain bung to allow the filter to be re-filled with the cleaning agent. If possible remove filter lid to allow easy application of agent.
Add at a rate as follows:
18″ Diameter filters – add 250ml
24″ Diameter filters – add 500ml
30″ Diameter filters – add 750ml
36″ Diameter filters – add 1000ml
Then fill filter with water and allow to soak for at least 6 hours or 12 hours overnight for optimal performance. Replace lid & ensure filter is ready to backwash.
Backwash & rinse filter for a minimum of 2 minutes prior to returning the filter to service.
Cartridge Filters Remove cartridge and other screens from the unit and flush debris from filter body & cartridge screens etc. Soak overnight the cartridge in a 5% solution of the cleaner. Rinse thoroughly, allow to dry and clean with a soft brush, reassemble the filter unit & return to service.
General Precautions:
· Never mix with any other chemicals including cleaning products, weedkillers and chlorine products, as a dangerous reaction may occur.
Handling/Storage:· Handle products in a well-ventilated area, preferably outdoors.
· Wash hands after use.
· Ensure chemicals do not become damp in storage – store in a cool dry place.
· Ensure all product safety warnings issued on the container are followed

I bought a filter jug when my undersink water filter desperately needed changing. I knew this because my coffee machine needed descaling almost monthly I noticed that the filter always needed changing one or two days before the month was up which seemed fair, seeing as the water quality was poor. Once I replaced the undersink water filter guess what I still needed to change my Maxtra filter several days before the month was up, which puzzled me because I know how good that undersink filter is and can taste the difference in the drinking water when it is doing its job. Last month I decided to only use my filter jug daily but sparingly, but it still turned red several days before the month was up. Is this a total con I certainly didnt filter 100L of water and yet, when I first used the filter because my undersink one desperately needed replacing and the Maxtra was working hard I still only needed to replace it every 28 days.

Really love the improved water quality. No more limescale in drinks or in my kettle. No longer buying bottled water so better for the planet too. Only negative is the monitor on my Brita jug is telling me to replace the cartridge after just 22 days. I dont consider myself to be a heavy user of drinking water 2 person household so feel disappointed at the shorter lifespan of the product

We live in a hard water area, so this is a necessary product, and using filters means that we have clearer water and the kettle doesnt need defurring as often. However, although they last longer than nonbrandedfilters, they definitely need changing after about 10 days to 2 weeks I have never managed to make one of these last a month, apart from when we were away on holiday for 2 weeks So a high price to pay, but one that I feel is worth it for the taste and absence of bits in my drinks.

I cant stand the taste of the tap water in my hardwater area, so filtering is essential. Ive been using the Brita Maxtra cartridges for years. There is no doubt they work because the difference with the filtered water is impressive. However, every time I purchase a box of these I take a sharp intake of breath they seem just a bit too pricey for what they are.
