I am so impressed with this product. When buying I was a bit sceptical but my concerns were completely unfounded.Concern 1 It wouldnt come with everything wed need. Wrong You need to buy life jackets separately, but this canoe comes with a hand pump, two collapsible paddles and a skeg like a keel which assists steering. You need nothing extra to get yourself on the water.Concern 2 It would take ages to inflate. Wrong The instructions are straight forward and it took two of us about 5 minutes to inflate using the hand pump. The valves are designed so that no air comes out when you pull the pump nozzle out. It really was very easy. Dont overinflate. The instructions say firm to the touch but not hard. This is what we did and it was perfect.Concern 3 It would lose air in the water and we would slowly sink. Wrong We had no issues whatsoever. It was as good coming out of the water after 2 hours as it was going in at the beginning.Concern 4 It would take ages to put away again. Wrong We collapsed it after use and then reinflated it when we got home, in order to hose it down. After a couple of hours drying in the garden I collapsed it and folded it up again very quickly.Concern 5 It would come in one of those bags where once you use it for the first time you would NEVER get it back in again. Wrong Once collapsed and folded it easily fit in the bag together with all of its accessories.Concern 6 In use it would be easy to puncture. Well weve only used it the once but the river was quite shallow in parts. We had to remove the skeg which took about 10 seconds to do and even then we ran aground more than once. Yes, of course we were careful but the material seems durable and hardwearing, so providing you are not stupid with it I think it will last well.Concern 7 It would be very unsteady and easy to overturn. Wrong We certainly didnt try to overturn it, but it was easy to get into and out of and I was able to stand up just to grab onto bridges and branches without too much of a problem.Overall we are really pleased with this product and cant wait to get out on the river again.

I lay the blame firmly at Amazon for making purchases like this too easy, but one day a few weeks back I was living my normal, nonwatersport partaking life, the next day I had a two person kayak on my doorstep. I drive a Skoda Citigo tiny so it had never crossed my mind that a kayak would be a practical purchase, but this one was inflatable, relatively cheap 80 and had hundreds of excellent reviews. Ive never stepped foot in a kayak, but this one would fit in my car, soThe River Avon is only a 10 minute drive away and in a lovely part of the world BradfordonAvon so we put the kayak, a couple of buoyancy aids and a dry bag in the boot it all fit and headed over. Everything comes in a single heavy bag that feels like it will disintegrate at any minute. Included is the kayak, two sets of paddles, an excellent pump, two seats and a shark fin thing that is fun to hold in the water and scare your 4 year old child with. Within 15 minutes everything was assembled, inflated and ready to go, its incredibly easy to put together and basically fool proof. The main air compartments go up in no time with the included pump, but weirdly the tiny end pieces which are not structurally critical are a nightmare to inflate, they deflate quicker than it seems possible to inflate and shut the valve.Im not sure if it was mentioned in the instructions of course Ive not read them but there is what looks like another valve at the back at floor level, this is presumably to aid drainage once back on dry land. Yeah I didnt plug that first time out, despite taking on water the kayak never felt unstable or at risk of sinking. Fool proof, eh The kayak comfortably held several inches of water, me 6ft and my 4 year old with plenty of room left for our things and the bag, pump etc. You could probably even stand up in it quite comfortably but Im not about to try. Its easy to steer and will move along at a pretty reasonable pace, Ive been out in it on my own a few times as well and its perfectly usable as a oneperson kayak.Deflation is easy, open the valves and its pretty much down in two minutes. Unlike every tent ever, it actually fits back in the bag without needing a PhD in origami as well, a huge bonus when youve had a long day on the water. We love it, a genuine bargain for what appears to be a very well made and thought out piece of kit.

Great for the price, very tough, been using mine saltwater fishing for last few months and has held up well so far.Paddled in pretty windy conditions and no fear of capsizing, very stable.Runs pretty straight with the large skeg but small skeg will give very little assistance in my experience, I stick with the bigger one always.Lots of room for gear etc if solo.Quick to inflate, from arriving in my car I can be on the water loaded up and departing in 30 mins without rushing, 20 mins if I do. Takes an honest 5 10 mins to unpack and inflate.Overall well worth the money.

I ordered this for my birthday after much research. Whilst Id have loved a rigid kayak, that was an impractical choice at this point. We took it on holiday to the Lake District or its maiden voyage and it did not disappoint. We were able to inflate it easily within 510 mins and were on the water It remained inflated and was easy to paddle. A bit harder with the wind against you, but then that was to be expected.Deflation was also quick and painless and we had it packed away within a further 10 mins.A few commentsThe pump that it comes with is good, but it did come apart when my son was a bit vigorous with it. It did go back together easily and continue to function. That said, it may not live long, but we have an alternative so not worried. The paddles are possibly a little smaller than standard ones, but they were perfectly good. The bag it comes in does not look very tough. It is fine at present, but I would not be surprised if it tore with time. When you have two people in the boat you end up being quite close and need to be careful not to hit the other person with your paddle more of an issue for the person at the back than the front. All in all very pleased with this purchase and looking forward to many more outings.
