I bought this for my partners birthday present this year and she was chuffed with it.Upon receipt I opened the package and checked everything was in order the included pump works very well, there were no manufacturing defects and all the compartments stayed inflated after an hour of sitting.Come the weekend we went to the local river and took it out for the maiden voyage. Again the pump inflated the craft with little effort and the valves all worked perfectly. We launched from a concrete slip and carefully glided into the water. Once waterborne we were very stable the craft certainly isnt fast but it does exactly what is needed. My only slight gripe is that the seams on the top side walls are just where your hand naturally passes as you paddle so it can rub unless you deliberately avoid it.For the price though, and as an entry craft, this is perfect.

Purchased to use on lakes and calm sea.Easy peasy to inflate, the young kids did it.Seems strong and of good quality.Includes 2 paddle and the all important Fin.Only negative is it does sit a bit high in the water. However I have never used an inflatable one before, normally use closed deck sea kayaks. For a starter. To have a go or to just use for play this is perfect

I have not had the opportunity the get this kayak out on the water as yet so this review is about the general set up and feel of the kayak. Easy to inflate, and the kayak feels and looks very well made.Update, July 2019 Having been out on this kayak several times now I thought I would add an update. This kayak is extremely stable both on the water and when getting in and out from landing stages. It also tracks very well with the skeg fin fitted, however, it is slightly sluggish due to its general size and shape. Paddling from the front or middle position I tend to rub my hands along the seams on each side, this was rectified by purchasing longer paddles in my caseProsEasy to inflate and deflate.Good design and looks very robust.Comes with removal skeg finConsThe pump feels very flimsy, fell apart while inflating, although I managed to reassemble itThe inflation point in the seat cushion is not fitted with a nonreturn valve which is a bit of a pain when inflated as you lose air while hastily trying to fit the plug.Hands tend to rub along side seams when paddling. The cons are minor irritations, I certainly suggest buying a decent pump.Obviously, I will update this review once I have had the opportunity to test out my kayak on the water but I am confident that this will be a very stable and reliable kayak on rivers and canals.

This is a very impressive inflatable canoe. It is plenty stable and much more solid and sturdy than expected for an inflatable. The support on the inflatable seats is good enough to avoid sore backs. More than enough room for two adults to sit comfortably for a few hours. We took this out in lagoons as well as the sea. It was more than up to riding over the good size waves going out and great fun riding with the waves coming back in.Easy to inflate and setup, and equally easy to deflate and pack away. Unusually for an inflatable, it is easy enough to pack away and fit into the supplied carry bag, along with the paddles and pump. I would recommend you practice and follow the instructions before attempting packing on the beachAll in all, would highly recommend for a lot of fun with the family.

Easy to inflate, I took this out on the sea a sheltered bay although it was slightly choppy, the Kayak felt sturdy amp stable. Paddles are strong. It was deflated amp back in the bag in under 10 minutes. Great buy

This is the first time I have written anything negative about Amazon and the returns process.Whilst the kayak comes with everything you need and is easy to assemble unfortunately ours started deflating on the first day of use. I started the returns process with Amazon and their appointed courier Hermes have not attempted collection despite me contacting Amazon 3 times. So I have been stuck with these faulty goods for almost 2 weeks and the item is too large to take to a drop off point or post office.Broken promises from Amazon have left me high and dry and out of pocket .I strongly recommend not buying large items from Amazon as you will never be able to return them. I have cancelled Amazon prime and will be contacting Trading Standards

This is the first time Ive been compelled to review anything, anywhere. After the trip my 7 year old Son and I took yesterday, our tenth voyage I thought I shouldFirst, its cheap. But its not nasty. Inflatable kayaks have been a hit this year and Ive seen quite a few different ones on the water. At this price, the Intex is great quality. Ive used it in salty tidal rivers and stored it mostly wet in the boot of my car for three months. Dont let the price put you off this is a good usable boat that will serve you a couple of years minimum. Its main enemy is strong wind. Thats true of all inflatable kayaks. It has a large front profile and requires effort if the wind is strong and youre out on big exposed waters. On the river, its natural home, no issue.Whilst Inflatable, it is very sturdy. The base, for example, is solid enough to stand up on when inflated and in the water without the boat folding. This is of great assistance when getting in and out.The boat is extremely stable in the water, and you would have to make a supreme effort to tip it over. Its handles small waves very well. The one design flaw that I really hate is the ribbing on the sides of the boat. The seam in the rubber is along the top of the sponsor. The standard paddles are also rather short. This means that you will brush your hand on the seam which can be painful if you are not careful to avoid doing so2 buoyancy aids will cost you the same as the boat but do get them, particularly with kids involved.Theres room for two 6 footers with a rucksack stowed at each end. I use it with my son, and we pack the kitchen sink for a day on the river. Its a great way to get into boating on your local river or canal. For the money, it has delivered so many wonderful memorable times for my boy too. Best impulse buy EVER.Sorry, long review.
